Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
How do I book a free consult?
Once you reach out, I’ll send you a text from my work phone introducing myself and thanking you for reaching out. I’ll then offer to schedule a free 15-minute phone consult where I can ask a few general questions about what you’re looking for and see if we’re a good fit to work together
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I’m in network with Florida Blue, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United/Optum. If you’re not using insurance, I also accept cash pay clients at $150 per 55-minute session
What ages do you work with?
I work with children, teens, and young adults—generally ages 11 to 25. These are such important years of growth and transition, and I really love being able to support clients through them
How many sessions do I need with you?
Every client is different, but I usually recommend weekly sessions for the first 4 to 6 weeks. That gives us time to build rapport and gather a full picture of what you’re going through. After that, we might move to biweekly depending on your needs and progress
How soon can I get an appointment with you?
It depends on availability, but I try to be flexible. I keep a weekly waitlist so that if someone cancels or reschedules, I can offer that spot to someone who needs it. I always do my best to find a time that works for both of us
Do you take insurance?
This is a very common question about therapy with me. And the answer is: YES! I do take insurance. Currently, I am in-network with Florida Blue, Cigna, Aetna, and United/Optum.
How much do sessions cost?
If you’re paying privately (without insurance), sessions are $150 for 55 minutes. I offer this option for people who want more privacy or flexibility in how we work together
What are your appointment hours?
I make appointments from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays.
What is your cancellation policy?
All I ask is that you give me a heads-up via text at least 48 hours in advance. I get that life happens—I’ve had things pop up too—so I just ask for open communication. I also keep a weekly waitlist, so if something opens up, I can usually offer it to someone else who needs that time
Can you fix my problem?
I tell people this all the time: I don’t have a magic wand. I wish I did! Therapy is a process and it takes work—not just from me, but from you too. When things start to feel hard, that’s usually when the real growth begins. I’ll be with you every step of the way
What can I expect from therapy sessions with you?
The first few sessions (usually 4 to 6) are focused on getting to know you, building trust, and gathering history. I want to understand your story before jumping into any tools or techniques. As we go, we’ll work together to track your progress, celebrate wins, and make adjustments that feel right for you
